This is a ministry that they feel called to do. They are available Mon. though Sat. and would be willing to assist in the following ways.

 · Provide transportation to and from medical facilities: e.g. Dr. offices, physical therapy etc.

· Pick up prescriptions from drug stores

· Available to take them shopping for groceries etc.

· Light household activities

   The youth at FBC meet in the Refuge, located above the Fellowship Hall. This area has been equipped with a pool, ping pong and fosse ball table along with couches and TVs for hanging out. But, most importantly this area has been dedicated and blessed by God for the teaching of His Word and furthering relationships with Him and one another. We meet in the Refuge on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights for youth driven and led meetings.

Sunday mornings following the 9 a.m. main service the youth meet in the Refuge for a time of fellowship and studying of God’s Word. We are currently using Student Life – Character curriculum. This looks at God’s overarching plan and His purposes in the world, and our individual responsibility in that plan.

Sunday Night has been reserved for students to join the corporate body in fellowship and prayer called FOCUS Worship and Prayer. We have student led worship and Pastor Keith speaks for about 15-20 minutes. The last 20 minutes of the service is committed to prayer and testimony of what God is doing. This is a great time to see what God does in the midst of those that call upon Him. When we humble ourselves and pray, God has promised to hear from heaven. He does hear and often moves because of our prayers.

Wednesday Night we again meet in the Refuge for student led worship and a systematic study through the Bible. We are currently walking through Genesis and are excited to see how God reveals himself to each of us individually and as a youth body. There is no substitute for the Word of God and taking time to go through each verse asking Him to speak to us. What an amazing time. There is always a time of fellowship prior to and after Bible Study.

This summer the teens will be participating in Centrifuge Camp in June and a mission trip to follow later in the year. Our plans have not been solidified but we are praying about Jamaica, Dominican Republic, or other nations, as well as local missions.
We enjoy ski trips, swimming , paintball, VBS, and many other activities on a regular basis. We are very excited about FBC Youth SERVE. This allows students the opportunity and privilege to serve the church and local community in many ways. One week we may be pulling weeds and the next out visiting or spending time with those in need of companionship.

The students at FBC want to make an impact on this community and the world. Come be a part of the impact we are making and see how God works in your life. Gain a desire to know Him through studying His Word and see what begins to happen in your life. We look forward to seeing you soon!!

Need a Break Today?


One of the more fascinating phenomena of life is what I have termed “the tyranny of the relentless”. I either heard this at some point and I’m simply repeating it or I may have actually coined a phrase. It is the incessant repetitiveness of the pressures and deadlines that are part and parcel of life in this world. Once we accomplish a certain task or project, here comes the next one down the pipe. Sometimes it is juggling multiple projects all at once while more are waiting in the wings. The stress just keeps coming, wave upon wave. Add to that the daily requisites of family, friends, church, and community and we have the perfect storm of demanding circumstances. It is in the midst of this storm that we hide ourselves in the cleft of the Rock. I run into the shadow of the Most High on a regular basis because I am not able to make this journey alone. I need the Lord. Some of the tyrannical is self-imposed; some of it is part of what we do and who we are; some has to do with wanting to meet others expectations of us. But together, they conspire to destabilize, distract, discourage, depress and defeat us and cause us to lose our joy. If you are struggling under some intense burdens today, run to Jesus and unload them at His feet. “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – I Corinthians 15:57.
